Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to MaharShwe VPN, operated by Mahar Shwe Mobile. It explains what information is used when you install, open, connect, scan keys, receive notifications, use free servers, or contact support.
VPN service and traffic routing
MaharShwe VPN uses Android VpnService to access and route your device's network traffic through the VPN server you choose. This is required to provide a secure device-level VPN tunnel. Traffic is encrypted from your device to the VPN tunnel endpoint. The app does not collect or share browsing history through VpnService and does not redirect or manipulate traffic for advertising or monetization. The selected VPN server necessarily processes traffic to provide the connection.
Information the app uses
- VPN access keys and server names are stored on your device so the app can connect to the servers you add.
- Free server keys are downloaded from MaharShwe's Google Sheet so the app can show the current free servers.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging token may be sent to the MaharShwe server so update notifications can be delivered.
- Google AdMob may use advertising identifiers, device information, and ad interaction data when ads are shown to free server users.
- If you contact support by Telegram, phone, or payment channels, the information you send is handled by that support channel.
Camera and QR scanning
The camera permission is used only to scan Outline/VPN access key QR codes. QR images are processed on the device and are not uploaded by the scanner.
Notifications
The app may ask for notification permission. Notifications are used for app updates, service notices, and support messages. You can disable notifications in Android settings.
Payments
Payments for paid VPN keys are handled outside the app through the payment details provided by Mahar Shwe Mobile. Do not send sensitive banking passwords or one-time codes through support chat.
Data sharing
We use service providers such as Firebase Cloud Messaging and Google AdMob to operate notifications and ads. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
